It’s early. You stumble into the kitchen and find the coffee grounds. You grab the carafe and turn on the water. Right away you notice a strange smell. It doesn’t take you long to figure out it’s coming from the faucet. There’s something wrong with your water.
Arcadia Drilling has been in the water business for more than 35 years. The company is primarily known for well construction. However, a major component of their work is filtration and water testing. Arcadia has a lab at their Shelton headquarters that can be used to test for a number of contaminants.
This summer Arcadia plans to expand their water testing service by adding a mobile lab. “We’ll be taking the lab to different locations so people can bring us their water and we’ll test it,” says General Manager Jason Zack.
Zack intends to have results back to the person very quickly – usually via email. If all goes according to plan it could take as little as a day or two to find out what’s in your water, and therefore know if any treatment is needed. The lab will also have filtration systems on display so people can receive a real education in the latest water treatment options.
If you’re interested in visiting the mobile lab all you need is a clean, quart sized container to hold your sample. “We’ll give you the results of the quality of your water and offer any recommendations for treatment,” says Zack.
The mobile lab will be at the Grays Harbor Home & Garden Show on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. A complete list of locations will be available soon.
If you know of a good spot for the lab to visit, send the team at Arcadia an email.
