The Washington Center is thrilled to announce the 24/25 Season! With shows for families, theatre-lovers, dance-enthusiasts, comedy-fans and music-devotees this season has something for everyone. There are countless opportunities to create unforgettable memories at the Center.
Family favorites promise to include “Coco Live-to-Film” concert, “The Aluminum Show,” and “A Magical Cirque Christmas.” Theatre lovers will appreciate the Broadway hit “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Spamilton,” “Menopause the Musical 2,” and “I’m not a Comedian… I’m Lenny Bruce.” Looking for dance? Don’t miss Bodytraffic, “The Hip Hop Nutcracker,” Trinity Irish Dance Company, or “Step Afrika!” Eager for laughter? Ladies of Laughter, Seattle International Comedy Competition, the Comedy Underground series, “God is a Scottish Drag Queen: A Christmas Special,” and David Sedaris are sure to deliver.
And, don’t worry there will be music! Lyle Lovett will be returning to Olympia this season! International Guitar Night is back with 4 talented guitarists and we are excited to welcome singer-songwriter Aimee Mann to the stage. Our popular Black Box Jazz series is back featuring female jazz artists this season. Get your tickets early as these shows do sell out. The Pack Drumline promises spectacle and rhythmic prowess, and we are bringing Olympia-favorites Jake Shimabukuro and Skerryvore back this season!
Our Silent Film series continues with “Aelita (Queen of Mars),” Harold Lloyd’s “Girl Shy” and Laurel and Hardy’s “Double Whoopee” accompanied by the talented Dennis James on our 100-year old historic Wurlitzer organ. This year will also be showing Buster Keaton’s “Sherlock Jr” accompanied by Portland Cello Project musician Gideon Freudmann on the cello.
