Have you driven around Thurston County after dark? The ghouls, goblins, skeletons and witches are out in full force! Equally fun to enjoy during the day, many of these places have lights and even fog at night that up the creep factor. If you love checking out spooky trimmings, don’t miss these houses decorated for Halloween near Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

The “Halloween House” is the perfect place to start your Halloween decoration journey. Although lit up at night, it’s probably best seen during the day because there is so much to look at! They have the Sanderson sisters, hitchhiking ghosts, and even a horse-drawn hearse, among other spine-tingling surprises!

Need pick-me-up from your grave? Stop by Madres Espresso on Pacific Avenue or Cooper Point Road. Not only can they give you a pick-me-up, but they are decorated to the max, with giant skeletons and cobwebs.

This fun display is full of all kinds of skeletons doing things up the steep steps of the house. There is even a skeleton riding a sled down the hill!

As you continue on your way, look for a happy skeleton couple in lounge chairs.

From a spooky skull arch to a giant witch and much more, this house has a full-on scene happening for Halloween.

Head down Fredrick Street and you will see a couple houses that look to be in a Halloween decorating contest competition! Lots of witches, cauldrons and other spooky décor to look at it.

This is a can’t-miss – with a cool permanent Sleepy Hollow sign, it’s clear this house takes Halloween decorating in Olympia seriously. They have a wicked headless horseman and more. To see everything, you will want to stop and get out – just be respectful and stay on the sidewalk.

Look for a large display of the Sanderson Sisters and giant cobs near this intersection.

At night, go by Tiger Tail Drive and check out the Mccollom home. From a skeleton on a tree to graves and lots of lights, it’s a fun scene!

Just off Sleater-Kinney is another great house all decorated for Halloween. It’s best viewed at night, according to a ThurstonTalk reader.

This incredible display features all kinds of light-up Halloween decorations in Olympia. Best seen at night, you will find some of your favorite characters as well as other creepy items, including a decorated boat!

This display has a lot of cool and creepy skeletal creatures you might not see anywhere else, definitely worth driving by!

This fun Halloween house in Lacey is Pirates of the Caribbean-themed! From pirates in boats to pirates with treasure, it’s an incredible display with fog, lightning and music on the weekends and Halloween night!

If you are heading south, hit up the end of Case Road, before the intersection with 183rd Avenue SW. There is a great display with a lot of fun decorations to look at it.
