April showers may bring May flowers, but they are horrible for doing fun things with the kids, especially those priceless spring photo shoots. The Capital Mall has you covered – literally – with indoor activities all April long, kicking off with the arrival of the Easter Bunny himself, Saturday, April 5, 2025.

From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 5, Tangerine Tales will be hosting the Spring Fairy Godmother at the Capital Mall, welcoming the Easter Bunny and you to her celebration! Meet the Easter Bunny for those wonderful professional photos that are perfect for Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts, or to hang on your wall.

The Fairy Godmother has plenty of fun in store for all with interactive story times at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. In between, enjoy hair painting, spring wand making, balloon twisting and face painting. Then enjoy a sweet treat of cotton candy!

Easter Bunny Photos in Olympia

After April 5, the Easter Bunny will be in his spring-themed alcove outside the Shoe Department Co. for the rest of the month. Meet and get your photos with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday through April 19. Reservations are not required, but they do save time standing in line. You can make reservations for Easter Bunny photos online now!

Saturdays tend to be the busiest day for Bunny greetings, so if you want to avoid the wait, make plans to visit the mall on a different day. If you do decide to come on Saturday the 12th or the 19th, Capital Mall has plans to make your time in line a bit less stressful.

“We have a constant line on Saturdays,” shares Hope Montag, marketing and business development manager for Capital Mall. “So, we’re really trying to make it easier for families to get really cute Easter photos by giving the kids something to do while their parents wait in line.”

On April 12, kids can make a craft with Peter Pan and his fairy friends! And on April 19, Rapunzel and friends will be helping kids craft another springtime activity. Both events are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
